Women in Urbanism Canada

Our work centres equity-deserving genders, including women, girls, trans, non-binary, genderqueer, and Two-Spirit people.

We acknowledge the many treaty and traditional territories of Indigenous Nations across Canada and recognize the ongoing impacts of colonization and urban development in the harmful displacement and marginalization of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples.

As we reflect on women shaping our cities, we honour and carry forward the leadership, knowledge, and wisdom of Indigenous women and Two-Spirit people, whose contributions continue to guide the creation of more inclusive, just, and connected communities.
